Quality Assurance Analyst
Performs functional, regression, and performance testing for DCS2000® applications and associated components. Designs and executes test cases using Mercury Quality Center and coordinates end-user testing and fault resolution. Records HP Quick Test Pro (QTP) scripts for manual execution and/or future automation and executes previously recorded QTP scripts as necessary.
Role qualifications:
An employee in this position performs responsible technical and professional work under limited supervision. The work, which entails various priorities and tasks, is performed in a team setting under continuous time constraints.
The employee must follow complex verbal and written instructions and use a PC, with or without reasonable accommodation. This job also requires frequent exposure to confidential information. Position Responsibilities:
● Performs Quality Assurance testing of DCS2000® software and associated components including functional, regression and performance testing.
● Troubleshoots and analyzes faults found within DCS2000® software and its associated components.
● Reports faults discovered within DCS2000® software and associated components to the development team and monitors the status of the faults until resolution is confirmed.
● Coordinates User Testing and provides assistance as needed.
● Assists the package release team with documentation of DCS2000® software and associated components.
● Designs and executes test cases using Mercury Quality Center.
● Performs time tracking for assigned projects.
● Tracks progress of assigned projects and reports status as necessary or when requested.
● Attends daily status meetings, biweekly Quality Assurance Team meetings, and other planning and status meetings as needed.
● Records HP Quick Test Pro (QTP) scripts for manual execution and/or future automation and executes previously recorded QTP scripts as necessary.
● Travels occasionally to participate in DCS2000 User Group meetings.
● Assists with production turnover validation.
● Aids in the training of QA team members by sharing system matter expertise.
● Other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Essential skills and experience:
● Bachelors Degree in related field and two years of demonstrated Quality Assurance Testing Experience or four to six years of demonstrated Quality Assurance testing experience.
● Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite(Word and Excel) or Open Office suite (Writer and Calc).
● Must possess excellent customer service skills.
● Must be able to interface with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization. In doing so, must be able to clearly explain a process or functionality to a customer.
● Must be able to follow complex verbal and written instructions.
● Must work well individually and collectively within a team environment.
● Must be able to adapt easily to changes in assignment, priority, and work environment.
● Must have a strong attention to detail.
● Must have experience testing Windows-based and web-based applications. Physical demands and work environment:
