Delta Dental PPO is our Preferred Provider Organization. Subscribers using the Delta Dental PPO network have access to over 1,500 dentist locations throughout Virginia*. Because these participating dentists have agreed to accept lower reimbursement for services, subscribers have higher benefits and lower out-of-pocket costs. The Delta Dental PPO product allows groups to structure their benefit plan to best fit their needs. With a choice of deductibles, annual maximums, benefit options and funding, Delta Dental PPO is the answer for quality dental benefits at great cost savings.

Benefits of visiting a dentist participating in the Delta Dental PPO Network are:

• Out-of-pocket costs are typically the lowest of all plans.
• Delta Dental PPO dentists accept Delta Dental’s payment as full payment for covered services which eliminates balance billing (subscribers are responsible for their deductible and co-insurance amounts).
• Subscribers do not have to hassle with claim filing, Delta Dental PPO dentists file claims directly with DDVA on behalf of the subscriber.
• Delta Dental PPO plans cover routine check-ups, cleanings and most basic and restorative services. Options for major dental care (such as dentures and orthodontics) are also available.
  

Plus Delta Dental PPO offers the unique Dual Network Advantage feature. Subscribers in a Delta Dental PPO plan can actually receive benefits when they visit any dentist in the entire Delta Dental Premier network or any other licensed dentist for covered care. Subscribers who visit Delta Dental Premier or non-participating dentist however, may have higher out-of-pocket costs.

Delta Dental’s national program can provide convenient and quality dental care to employees of companies located in Virginia but who reside or travel outside the Commonwealth. All DDVA subscribers, no matter the location, will have access to more than 86,000 Delta Dental PPO offices and more than 160,000 Delta Dental Premier dental offices across the country*.
