Delta Dental Premier is one of the largest dental networks in Virginia with nearly 80% of all licensed dentists participating in the network. Delta Dental Premier dentists have agreed to accept fees approved by DDVA and adhere to our treatment policies - which means visiting dentists in the Delta Dental Premier network provides cost-effective dental care at slightly lower cost than non-participating dentist care.

Benefits of visiting a dentist participating in the Delta Dental Premier Network are:

• Out-of-pocket costs are typically lower than if visiting a non-participating dentist.
• Delta Dental Premier dentists accept Delta Dental’s payment as full payment for covered services which eliminates balance billing (subscribers are responsible for their deductible and co-insurance amounts).
• Subscribers do not have to hassle with claim filing, Delta Dental Premier dentists file claims directly with DDVA on behalf of the subscriber.
• Delta Dental Premier plans cover routine check-ups, cleanings and most basic and restorative services. Options for major dental care (such as dentures and orthodontics) are also available.
  

Of course, Delta Dental Premier products also allow subscribers to choose any licensed dentist for dental care; however, out-of-pocket costs for dental care outside the network may be higher.

Delta Dental’s national program can provide convenient and quality dental care to employees of companies located in Virginia but who reside or travel outside the Commonwealth. All DDVA subscribers, no matter the location, will have access to more than 160,000 Delta Dental Premier offices and more than 86,000 Delta Dental PPO dental offices across the country*.
