The Delta Dental Networks

Delta Dental of Virginia has three participating dentist networks – Delta Dental PPOSM, Delta Dental Premier® and DeltaCare®. Subscribers’ network options will depend on their plan, which appears in the upper right-hand corner of their ID card (as pictured below). Delta Dental PPO

Delta Dental PPO is our preferred provider organization. Delta Dental PPO provides subscribers with the lowest out-of-pocket costs, because dentists who participate in the PPO network have agreed to accept lower reimbursements for services. More than 48% of all dentists in Virginia1 and 45% nationally2 participate in the Delta Dental PPO network. The Delta Dental PPO network is available in the following areas of Virginia: Hampton Roads/Tidewater, Richmond and Northern Virginia Metropolitan.

Delta Dental Premier

Delta Dental Premier is the largest dental network in the nation2, with more than 85% of all dentists in Virginia1 and more than 80% nationally2 participating. Delta Dental Premier gives subscribers a wide selection of dentists with economical out-of-pocket costs. With so many dentists in the network, it’s easy for patients to find a dentist that participates.

DeltaCare

DeltaCare is Delta Dental’s managed care network, offering cost-effective benefits through one of the largest managed care dental networks. Subscribers who have a DeltaCare plan will pay a fixed copayment for each covered dental procedure, with no annual deductible or maximum. Subscribers with DeltaCare are only covered by their chosen DeltaCare provider.
