Delta Dental of Virginia is pleased to offer an exciting new release of our dental health program, Teeth on the Go 2.0 . We’ve updated this fun, interactive program to include lesson plans for Pre K – 2 and Grades 3 – 5. It is available free of charge and on loan to nurse coordinators and teachers at ALL Virginia elementary schools.

Teeth on the Go 2.0 makes learning about oral hygiene fun!

A teacher’s guide provides lesson plans and engaging worksheets and activities for grade levels Pre-K – 2 and Grades 3 – 5.

A video in VHS and DVD formats and a CD with a fun and educational song set the stage for teaching students in an interactive way.

A giant toothbrush, floss, and a set of teeth help illustrate how children should take care of their teeth.

Storybooks and activities help children learn the importance of oral hygiene.

Delta Dental of Virginia has worked hand-in-hand with the Virginia Department of Education to create awareness of the program and its availability to the schools.
 

Any Virginia school nurse or teacher may request a kit which we loan out for a 2-week period, similar to a library system.

We recommend that you order the kit 2 weeks in advance of the date that you need it. We will ship the kit to your school via a commercial carrier. Delta Dental of Virginia will pay for the shipping charges to and from the school.

A kit is on loan to a school for a period of no more than 2 weeks and must be shipped back by the appropriate deadline.

We request that educators complete and return an Evaluation Form gauging the receptiveness of the program by students.
