• 2002 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award - Delta Dental of Virginia was the recipient of this award for an employer with 500 or fewer employees. This statewide award was given by the Virginia Psychological Association and the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists in recognition of organizations that use exemplary workplace practices that contribute positively to the well-being of its employees. The award promotes and publicizes the significance of health in the workplace and recognizes organizations that have made committed efforts to establish programs, procedures and policies that enhance the workplace.
• United Way’s Champion of Children Award - Delta Dental of Virginia received this award for the initiation of the Smart Smiles program which provides free dental care to eligible children in the Commonwealth of Virginia. 
• Collaborative Award from the American Cancer Society - Delta Dental of Virginia also received this award for our efforts with our employee breast cancer awareness program.
• Center of Excellence Certification - Recently, Purdue University’s Center for Customer-Driven Quality has certified the Delta Dental of Virginia Benefit Services call center as a Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence certification is given to customer service call centers that rank in the top 10 percent nationally for effectiveness and efficiency. By effectively optimizing the people, processes, and the technology of our call center, Delta Dental of Virginia has developed a highly efficient operation that our customers have come to expect.
