Q. How do I become an appointed broker with Delta Dental of Virginia?

A. Print our agent/agency data request form and submit it to us according to the instructions on the bottom of the form. You may also contact our Marketing Department at 888-335-8216 for information on how you can become appointed with Delta Dental of Virginia.

Q. What information do I need to obtain a quote?

A. For groups larger than 100 eligible employees, we generally require a census, prior carrier claims experience, and a current benefit plan description (if applicable) to obtain a quote. For groups with fewer than 100 eligible employees (or less than 300 for voluntary groups), log on to our secure broker page and generate a quote within minutes! In order to prepare a quote, you must be appointed with Delta Dental and have a login ID and password. To become appointed, print our agent/agency data request form.

Q. When does new group coverage begin? What is the effective date?

A. In most cases, a group will be effective on the first day of the month following the receipt of the completed group application materials and employee enrollment.

Q. When should my client expect a billing statement to arrive?

A. Bills are mailed on the first business day following the 15th day of the month.

Q. When is the Delta Dental premium due each month?

A. Premiums are due on the first day of the statement month.
