How do I become an appointed broker with Delta Dental of Virginia?

To become appointed, you must complete our agent/agency data request form, Marketing Services Agreement (MSA) and a W-9 form. Click here for detailed instructions on how to get appointed.

What information do I need to obtain a quote?

For groups larger than 100 eligible employees, we generally require a census, prior carrier claims experience, and a current benefit plan description (if applicable) to obtain a quote. For groups with fewer than 100 eligible employees (or less than 300 for voluntary groups), log on to our secure broker portal and generate a quote within minutes! In order to prepare a quote, you must be appointed with Delta Dental and have a login ID and password. Get appointed to sell Delta Dental or DeltaVision®.

When does new group coverage begin? What is the effective date?

In most cases, a group will be effective on the first day of the month following the receipt of the completed group application materials and employee enrollment.

When should my client expect a billing statement to arrive?

Bills are mailed on the first business day following the 15th day of the month.

When is the Delta Dental premium due each month?

Premiums are due on the first day of the statement month.
